Germany, Liechtenstein Near Deal On First Double Taxation Agreement

GENEVA — Germany and Liechtenstein are close to an agreement on a first-ever double taxation agreement between the two countries, the Liechtenstein government said Oct. 4.
In a statement on the outcome of a Sept. 28 meeting in Berlin between German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schauble and Liechtenstein Prime Minister Klaus Tschutscher, the Liechtenstein authorities said the two ministers “noted that broad agreement on content has already been achieved in the negotiations on a double taxation treaty, and they aim to conclude the negotiations by the end of the year.”…
